Dr Aoife Laffan, Catherine Cummins and Eamon McPartlin had a very constructive online meeting with Bernard Gloster, HSE CEO. The FND Ireland team outlined the urgent need to put a FND treatment pathway in place to cater for the estimated 9,000 people living with FND in Ireland. Another key ‘ask’ was the further education of healthcare professionals on FND and addressing the inconsistency of how HSE supports are currently provided. We look forward to working with the HSE and Government through a patient partnership approach to develop the FND pathway. We wish to thank Bernard Gloster for taking time to meet with us and his commitment to notify the relevant stakeholders so that progress can be made.
